About Us

The Reamstown Historical Society and Museum was founded and incorporated in 1981 as the Historic Preservation Trust of the Cocalico Area. In 2004, the name was officially changed to reflect the merger of the Ream Family Association and the Historic Preservation Trust of the Cocalico Area.

The Society held its first public meeting on January 17, 2006. At this organizational meeting, plans were discussed for the organization, its operations, structure, and mission. An organizational committee revised the By-Laws.

Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Reamstown Community Center located at 23 E. Church Street, Reamstown, PA.

The second floor of the Reamstown Community Center contains a library and museum started and sponsored by the Ream Family Association.
